TNP’S GUIDELINES FOR ETHICAL BEHAVIOR

TNPresenters (TNP) is a not-for-profit membership organization that represents the interests of its members in the community of performing arts presenters, buyers, artists, agents, and professionals who connect artists to audiences in Tennessee and its surrounding region.

The membership of the organization recognizes that the TNP Code of Ethics is an expression of their wish to maintain a highly ethical and professional standard in all their dealings with other members and with third parties. The Arts challenge us to think openly and differently. TNP encourages conversation but reserves the right to remove comments or block members if conversation becomes inflammatory or threatening. This Code of Ethics is meant to help clarify professional ethical behavior and will continue to evolve as the profession and the needs of our community change.

TNP does not enforce, claim any authority or jurisdiction over the actions, behaviors or relationships between members or with the non-member community, and cannot mediate disputes or claims on behalf of its members. Nothing contained here or in any TNP document or electronic medium should be construed as legally binding on any parties in a dispute.

We're all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let's treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.

No Hate Speech or Bullying

Make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind isn't allowed, and degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender, or identity will not be tolerated.

No Promotions or Spam

Together we can make magic happen. Spamming members and posting or sharing of irrelevant links aren't allowed.

Respect Everyone's Privacy

Being part of this group requires mutual trust. Authentic, expressive discussions make groups great, but may also be sensitive and private. What's shared in the group should stay in the group.
