~Nonprofit Member & Collaborator Dues~

Presenting organizations/ individuals in Tennessee and surrounding states enjoy full membership status & voting rights (one vote per paid membership fee) by meeting at least two of the following criteria:

• Proof of official 501(c)(3) not-for-profit status;

• Presenting at least three arts-related, non-commercial events featuring professional touring artists/companies per year;

• Has a primary focus on the presentation of a cultural-based program.

Agents & Artists are encouraged to be a member of TNPresenters. Membership will give you access to consortium resources & direct access to member listserv.

• Collaborative booking efforts offer excellent opportunities for significant savings on artist contract fees. Regardless of your organization’s size or budget, Tennessee Presenter’s cooperative booking conferences are one of your most important resources for programming development.

• Membership in TNPresenters offers you the opportunity to tap into the collective knowledge and expertise of its members. Face-to-face at booking conferences, membership meetings, or with one email to our listserv “database”, TNPresenters members can provide ideas and solutions to situations you may encounter, discuss professional issues, offer input on certain needs like a comedy show or folk artist, offer reviews on shows they have presented or attended their performance. 

• A convenient membership roster / database with contact information.

• Inclusion in member information and access to resources of www.tnpresenters.org, TNPresenters’ organizational website. The website provides an updated membership list, meeting schedules, and news in the industry updates. The members-only area provides valuable resources, member responses to important policy & practices queries, and other valuable contact data. Links will be provided to member organization’s websites.

• Members can extend complimentary passes (subject to availability) to other members to attend performances in which they may have interest in presenting.

• Tennessee Presenter members will have the opportunity to create individual cooperative marketing efforts with your fellow presenters including posters, tour cards, magazine ads and other tools as part of each season’s block-booked tours within Tennessee. 

• Workshops, resource sessions and membership discussions regarding matters and issues of importance to the industry will become an integral part of TNPresenters’ conferences.

Membership Categories

PRESENTERS : This category of membership is for our presenting members, arts promoters, and festival organizers in the TNPresenter region who present at least three events, featuring professional touring artists/companies per year, with cultural-based programs being among the organization’s primary purposes. Presenter level members are allowed one vote per organization in TNPresenter business.

Presenters w/ annual Artist Fee Budgets under $50,000  =  $100 / yr

Presenters w/ annual Artist Fee Budgets under $100,000 = $175 / yr

Presenters w/ annual Artist Fee Budgets over $100,000 = $250 / yr

AGENT / AGENCY/ ARTIST REPRESENTATIVE COLLABORATORS: This category of membership is for our Agents/Agencies. If this category best defines what you do, please review the annual Artist Fee billing categories in the dropdown to determine your membership level.

Agent, Agency, Artist Representative= $175 / yr

ARTIST(S) and ARTISTIC COMPANY COLLABORATORS: This category of membership is for our self-represented Artists and/or Artistic Company who travels with an original arts-related production, performing in at least three different venues each year. If this category best defines what you do, please choose the Artist(s) dropdown to determine your membership level.

Artist(s) and Artistic Company = $50 / yr NEW as of FY25

~Associate Membership~

ASSOCIATES are also offered within three categories. Associates do not pay a fee and do not have voting rights.

Associates status is temporary lasting no more than 90 days. The goal is to allow new artists, agents, presenters, etc to “test-dive” our group and then move to the appropriate paid membership category.

1. TNPresenters’ area emerging nonprofit presenting organizations which present fewer than three events yearly or are in process of establishing a presenting series.

2. Presenting organizations/individuals outside the TNPresenters’ area.

3. Artist and Agents interested in collaborating/working with this organization.
